Ah pizza pie. You're so alluring, welcoming, satisfying. Everyone loves, yet loathes you, for your cheesy goodness and waist-enhancing properties. Here are my top 5 places to smell, savor and indulge.

Harris Pizza ~ Quad Cities, USA
'The Finest'
Known now as 'Quad-Cities Style' pizza, when I was growing up, is was just Harris Pizza. Known for it's malty crust, spicy sauce and strips rather than pie slices, this goodness has evolved for the better. Harris remains the brand favorite for this gal. Finely ground sausage and the scissor-cut strips never fail to satisfy. The resulting tiny corner crusty pieces are an added bonus to sop up any leftover sauce.
Mellow Mushroom ~ Atlanta.
Again, the malty crust with a bit of cornmeal wins out here. Their amazing psychedelic combinations are also one for the win.
Sizzle Pie ~ Portland, OR
A Portland staple, always a winner. Especially late night. Can't go wrong here, whether it's a slice or a whole pie.
Lou Malnati's ~ Chicago
Deep Dish like it was imagined yesterday.
Patxi's Pizza ~ San Francisco
Amazing crust, and did they invent the honey as a topping?? An invaluable bit of knowledge!
